Filmmaking Fundamentals, 10 Week Online Course – Starts 6/6
An introduction to documentary story development, production and post-production. Students learn the fundamentals of storytelling, shooting techniques, visual aesthetics, sound, interviewing and editing with Adobe Premiere Pro. This 10 week course will support the hands-on exercises with readings, sample films, critiques and discussion. Each student will produce a short final project.

Summer 22: Mondays and Thursdays, 6-9:00pm: 6/6, 9, 13, 16, 20, 23, 27, 30; 7/7, 11
Fall 22: Tuesdays, 6-9:00pm: 9/20, 27; 10/4, 11, 18, 25; 11/1, 8, 15, 22
Price: $700 using your own equipment, $950 using your own production equipment, $1,500 using your own editing equipment, $1750 using our equipment; (see below)

Equipment and Material Requirements:
For those in the Greater Boston area, we can provide video production and post production equipment.
Production packages with video camera, tripod and microphones for in-class and home use require a $1000 deposit.
For editing we can provide a laptop with Adobe Premiere Pro editing software that you can use for the duration of the course on and off site with a $500 deposit. Or you can use your own computer and buy a subscription to Adobe Premiere Pro editing software. Make sure your laptop computer meets the minimum specifications required by Adobe Premiere Pro 2020.
